There they go again--All This Is That, sob sisters and apologists for a President gone very wrong

By Mona Goldwater, Editor

Today Pablo Fanque, "national affairs editor" of All This Is That wrote:

It has become abundantly clear that the Republicans and the Tea Party People think they have found the winning issue in their quest to return to power. From chairman Michael Steele to windbag Mitch McConnell, the GOP have said that they will hold the Democrats feet to the fire for passing health care reform come November.

Essentially the Republicans intend to campaign on their twisted belief that there is nothing wrong with the way insurance companies do business. In fact, the GOP seems to say, we probably need to cut them even more leeway. [Ed's note: how's that free-enterprisey stuff workin' for ya?]
Once again, Fanque drags the noble Tea Party activists into his specious argument, and as he almost always does, mischaracterizes nearly everything the Republican Party stands for.  His title for the article? "The steaming pile in D.C. is almost up to Obama's Adam's Apple:::::BHO catches fire again."

Let's face it Pablo--the biggest steaming pile in Washington is the one generated by your keyboard.  I will grant you one thing.  You hit it on the head, when you said that Obama is catching fire.  That's true.  But, alas, friendo, it's his pants.

Tempest in a teapot: "Sarah Palin's family sought health care in Canada"

Yeah, it was splashed across the headlines that Sarah Palin's family utilized health care in Canada.  Read the article.  They really had no choice, and it was not their first choice...but it was their only choice.

The real story appeared in the UK Telegraph yesterday:

Sarah Palin has raised questions over her staunch criticism of state health care after the former Alaska governor admitted her own family used to "zoom" over the border to get treated in Canada's hospitals.

Sarah Palin has criticised Mr Obama's health care reform proposals Photo: EPA The former Republican vice presidential candidate has been a frequent critic of big government and has lambasted Barack Obama's health care reforms as ushering in socialised medicine, denouncing his plans as "downright evil".

But during a weekend speech in Calgary, she revealed that her family used medical care in Whitehorse, the capital of Canada's Yukon Territory, decades ago.

Sarah Palin quits as governor of Alaska in surprise moveShe also criticised the publicly funded system saying that it should be dismantled in favour of free enterprise.

Mrs Palin, who moved as a child to the south-eastern Alaska town of Skagway, was speaking at an event sponsored by the Fraser Institute, a conservative Canadian think tank.

However, she did acknowledge the irony of her comments.

"Believe it or not - this was in the sixties - we used to hustle on over the border for health care that we would receive in Whitehorse," she said.

"I remember my brother, he burned his ankle in some little kid accident thing, and my parents had to put him on a train and rush him over to Whitehorse, and I think, 'Isn't that kind of ironic now'. Zooming over the border, getting health care from Canada."

Chuck Heath, Mrs Palin's father, said they had had little choice but use the Canadian facilities given Skagway's location.

"There was no road out of there at that time. The ferry schedule was very erratic. We had no doctor in Skagway," he said.

"The plane schedule was very erratic. The winds dictated whether the planes could come in or not."

He said his family probably took the train to the Whitehorse hospital only twice - once when his son burned his leg and again when a daughter had rheumatic fever.

Mr Heath also stressed that they had "much preferred" to use US medical facilities as his insurance did not cover any treatment in Whitehorse....

Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin share a close moment on the campaign trail

Not completely sure if this photo illustrates the close partnership Gov. Sarah Palin and Sen. John McCain enjoyed, or perhaps something more sinister? Or was it just one of those moments of temporary insanity?

Editor's note:  This site was hacked, and the offending photoraph (is it?), or Photoshop job, was placed here without out permission.  We took it down.  Until we got a nasty note from another Sarah Palin blogger, who runs the Texas for Sarah Palin site.  Sorry, Gary, there is still a first amendment, and as disgusting as the photo may be, well, this was someone's opinion.  If it offended you, it must not be all that bad.

The Silver Spoon Demands An Apology To Sarah Palin

In the aftermath of "Swaggate," the Silver Spoon has put out an explanation, and a demand for an apology to Ex-Governor Palin:

The Silver Spoon, a company owned and operated by women and established with a firm belief in supporting women in business and leadership, invited Governor Sarah Palin and her family to participate in a charitable function sponsored by The Silver Spoon and the Red Cross to support the Red Cross’ disaster relief efforts in Haiti.

Governor Palin graciously accepted since it was in support of such a worthy and timely cause. The governor arrived with a small group about 15 minutes prior to our store’s official opening; and upon arrival, she and her entire group gave generous donations to the cause. We offered to open early to accommodate her schedule; she did not ask us to open early. The other vendors routinely set up an hour before the event opens, so they were already there when the governor arrived. No one was asked to come in early. When Governor Palin arrived, she and her guests made generous donations.

I escorted her around and introduced her to every vendor, and they talked to her about their products and gifted her with samples. She never asked for anything but politely accepted the products. The governor and her family and guests were very gracious and respectful to everyone. We asked and the governor happily agreed to take a photo with the American Red Cross staff and the staff of The Silver Spoon. The governor stayed for a total of about 35 minutes, thanked everyone, made an additional generous personal donation pledge to the Red Cross, and then departed.

The stories currently circulating about Governor Palin’s attendance at our event are total fabrications. Just one example of the many falsehoods is the ridiculous idea that Governor Palin walked away with 40 AIAIAI headphones. In reality, she was given two pairs of AIAIAI headphones – one for herself and one for her daughter Bristol who could not attend the event. The idea that she took 40 pairs is an outrageous falsehood. It would have been impossible because the vendors only bring around 100 items for the entire two day event. They would have run out of product after an hour of opening yesterday.

Just to clarify things, the entire point of giving someone a swag bag is to have them take your product and hopefully purchase more. The whole point of giving away products is to “give them away.” That’s why we call this type of event style a “gifting suite.”

We would like an immediate retraction and an apology to The Silver Spoon, its vendors, and especially to Governor Sarah Palin.

Stranglehold on the Truth!

By Phil "The Rock" Rockington
President Sarah Palin Blog Features Editor

Who doesn't love Ted Nugent? Wimps and liberals - which is a redundant way of saying: losers. "Terrible Ted" produced some of the most audaciously awesome music ever, and is now a respected commentator on the direction of our bloated, whining government. His recent piece in the Washington Times (DC's real paper), "NUGENT: Republicans must change to win," is nearly perfect. The same guy that wrote "Cat Scratch Fever" is clearly at the top of the intellectual heap these days, as shown here:
"It's time to clean out the House and the Senate. True change is voting out the entrenched, hopelessly disconnected Fedzillacrats and replacing them with statesmen and women who care about America's future more than their political skins.

While many independents and Republicans are celebrating Mr. Brown's historic victory,I remain extremely suspicious of the Republican Party. Clearly, both the Democratic and Republican parties have been overtly guilty of grotesque and irresponsible pork spending and support of bigger, more unaccountable government. They are both as guilty as possible.
So, while many pundits are wondering what message the president and the left truly got from the Brown victory, we are wondering just what message the Republican Party received from the Massachusetts massacre."

"Fedzilla"! - Damn, Ted, you're killing me!  Turn that into a song!

Sarah Palin's Reality Show? Right.

Talk radio show host Tammy Bruce wrote a piece today about the absurd rumor that Governor Palin will soon be starring in a reality TV show. She explains why that is ridiculous, and give a rule of tumb for evaluating Sarah Palin stories:

"Look, there has not been one ridiculous story/rumor/gossip about Palin and her family, starting with the 2008 campaign, that hasn’t been found false. So here’s the New Rule–if you hear something that sounds stupid, or ridiculous or makes it sound like Sarah Palin has somehow lost her mind, that’s your cue that it’s a false story, engineered to make it sound like, uh, Palin has lost her mind."
