Congressman says Palin will run and win Iowa Caucuses!

According to an article in The Huffington Post, Sarah Palin will run!

An Iowa congressman, U.S. Rep. Steve King, says he "thinks former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will seek the GOP presidential nomination in 2012 and that she's among a few people who could win the state's leadoff caucuses." King even went on to mention that he thought she was now in a much stronger position to run than had she remained as Governor of Alaska.

Point<--->Counterpoint: Levi Johnston Vs. Ex-Governor Sarah Palin in a Quote-off

Sarah: "Consider the source of the most recent attention-getting lies," she says. "Those who would sell their body for money reflect a desperate need for attention and are likely to say and do anything for even more attention."

Levi: Levi Johnston recently told CBS's The Early Show that Palin, the former Republican candidate for vice-president, has done a whole lot worse, saying he knows things that could get her "in trouble and could hurt her."

Sarah: “I hear he goes by the name Rikki Hollywood now,” Sarah told Oprah about the father of her grandson Tripp. “I call that porn,” Levi's Baby Mama's Mama said. “A bit heartbreaking to see the road he’s on right now.”

Levi: "Even before she was nominated, there wasn't much parenting in that house. Sarah doesn't cook, Todd doesn't cook—the kids would do it all themselves: cook, clean, do the laundry, and get ready for school."

Sarah: "We have purposefully ignored the mean spirited, malicious and untrue attacks on our family. We, like many, are appalled at the inflammatory statements being made or implied."

Levi: "Sarah told me she had a great idea: we would keep it a secret—nobody would know that Bristol was pregnant. She told me that once Bristol had the baby she and Todd would adopt him. That way, she said, Bristol and I didn’t have to worry about anything. Sarah kept mentioning this plan. She was nagging—she wouldn’t give up. She would say, “So, are you gonna let me adopt him?” We both kept telling her we were definitely not going to let her adopt the baby. I think Sarah wanted to make Bristol look good, and she didn’t want people to know that her 17-year-old daughter was going to have a kid."

Sarah: ""I think he needs to know that he is loved and he has the most beautiful child" -- Palin's grandson -- "and this can all work out for good. It really can. We don't have to keep going down this road of controversy and drama all the time. We're not really into the drama. We don't really like that."

Levi: "Sarah was sad for a while. She walked around the house pouting. I had assumed she was going to go back to her job as governor, but a week or two after she got back she started talking about how nice it would be to quit and write a book or do a show and make “triple the money.” It was, to her, “not as hard.” She would blatantly say, “I want to just take this money and quit being governor.” She started to say it frequently, but she didn’t know how to do it. When she came home from work, it seemed like she was more and more stressed out."

Breaking: John Kerry forms team for POTUS run in 2012

The lid is about to blow off of this one. The Washington Times is sitting on the story until the news cycle gives it maximum exposure - John Kerry is throwing his hat in the ring for 2012. Contacts with the Palin camp are delighted to see the Dems scrambling.

Happy New Year, and God Bless.

Sarah on the Tonight Show

As you probably know, Sarah Palin recently skewered William Shatner on the Tonight Show. The former Captain Kirk has been reading excerpts from her book Going Rogue (out of context of course), and the Ex-Governor evened the score.

Gov. Sarah Palin, with her son, Trig, by her side meets Conan O’Brien before her appearance in a skit on that show.

Why Sarah Palin stepping down was brilliant!

Peter Andrew's take on the Conservative American website on why Sarah Palin stepping down was a brilliant move (indeed it was):

1.She can increase her income. While governor, Palin cannot accept payment for writing a book about herself or the 2008 campaign. This move allows her to likely quadruple her income by finishing the book, taking payment for that, then promoting the book with a book tour and making even more money off the sale of each book.

2.She can soon speak out more. ConservativeAmerican.org got a message from SarahPAC spokeswoman Meg Stapleton just the other day. Here’s what it said, “Remember that she is working on a book and cannot speak to previous works or the future of the Party - only to Alaska issues. Thanks! Meg.” To help sell her book, those publishing it are limiting her ability to speak about certain topics. By finishing the book, she can be MORE of a player on the national political scene, not less. Not sure why all the so-called political strategists and university poly sci profs the media talks with can’t figure that out.

3. She won’t be limited by the state of Alaska. Alaska has some very, very strict rules about the use of state assets (including human resources) for non-state business. Everytime she has taken a trip , someone shouts out that she is breaking the rules and files another ethics complaint. You don’t hear her jumping in to a national topic unless it relates to Alaska and this is part of the reason. She has to be so very careful she can hardly move from one room to another without justifying it! The liberals would love nothing more than to catch her breaking one of the rules so they can eliminate President Obama’s main 2012 competition. This move allows her freedom she does not have now.

4. She’s Big News for a Week Now. As families get together for a long holiday weekend, Sarah Palin will be the discussion. The big shots in the left wing press will want their chance to attack Palin too, so this will be news on their shows through at least next Wednesday. The more the left hates her, the more Conservative Americans like her. The hatred and stupidity they will spew for the next week will only boost Palin’s popularity.

5. She Can Raise Big Money through SarahPAC. If SarahPAC wants to raise money nationally now, the fundraising letter has to come from Meg Stapleton or someone else on the Palin staff. The most recent one that went out featured Stapleton asking for the help and a letter from Sarah Palin about…Alaska. That’s all she can talk about! Hard to raise money that way. Now she can accept paid speaking engagements, attend fundraisers and start assembling the 2012 warchest! Anyone who is part of the Official Sarah Palin Fan Club will be excited about this move. She can get going now! Here comes Sarah!

6.Feminist Support will Grow. There’s only so much women should take before they get upset about the awful sexism on parade (even from other women like Cokie Roberts) when it comes to Sarah Palin. It will be spewing uncontrollably this week. Moderates and even democrats will get tired of this and defend Sarah Palin, as Andrea Tantaros has done in the past, from these stone age criticisms.

7. This Shows Washington Elite Republicans she is Loyal. By getting out now, it allows the republican lieutenant governor to become governor and run as incumbent for reelection in 2010. If she had stayed and run for reelection, the national socialist-democrats would pour everything in to defeating her. This way she doesn’t have to face any of that.

8.She saves Alaska Money. In recent months, the state of Alaska has spent nearly $300,000 defending the governor from FALSE claims of ethical violations. Despite 13 attempts, Sarah Palin has never been found guilty of any wrongdoing. Still this costs the state money that can be better spent on other things.

9.This demonstrates creativity. All of the “stunned” experts, university types and insiders know how things are done. They are shouting that this is not how things are done. There’s more than one way to get things done. Palin shows creativity, intelligence and leadership with this move. I think it is great that she took the so-called experts (who lost the election for us by putting Palin in a McCainiac Cage) off guard! She has shown that she can with without the good ol’ boys network before. Go Sarah, Go!

10.The move reduces Palin’s personal expenses. The Palin family has racked up nearly half a million dollars in personal legal bills. The huge expense comes from defending herself against the phony attacks made up by Obama 2012. Team Obama is so afraid of this woman they are stopping at nothing to personally attack her and ruin her. We need to rally behind her.

Good evening and hello!

With the warm rush of Christmas coursing through America's veins, it's sad to note that Levi Johnston's mother, Sherry, is in shackles.

According to the liberal newspaper, the "New York Times":
Johnston, 43, was sentenced last month on her guilty plea in August to one count of possession with intent to deliver the painkiller OxyContin. Five other felony counts were dropped.
Levi, has been doing other things lately, and is likely to continue that path.

God bless.

-Geraldine

Merry Christmas from Sarah, Todd, Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper, Trigg, and Tripp!

We are working on our own interview with the former First Dude. Pablo Fanque, the political editor of our sister/enemy blog All This Is That, conducted the interview, which we will publish here in late 2009, or early 2010. In the meantime, enjoy Greta Van Sustern's "interview."

Going Rogue, not Going Rouge!!!

Going Rouge is a shamelessly slanted liberal assemblage of half-baked essays and thinly veiled, libelous attacks on that great American, Sarah Palin. It is laughably described in the Huffington Post as "An alternative, liberal judgment of Sarah Palin's legacy."

"Going Rouge: An American Nightmare" was conceived by Richard Kim and Betsy Reed, liberal editors at the progressive (!!) magazine The Nation. The books have nearly similar titles, and similar covers, both showing the Ex-Governor smiling into the distance.

"The cover is a parody of hers and it certainly takes some shots and mocks Sarah Palin, but it is a very serious book and the book itself is not a parody," Kim told POLITICO.

I agree with them on that point. This is not a parody at all, but a book of cheap shots, personal attacks, and hysterical caterwauling by the high-strung liberal press. As Going Rogue surfs along the best-seller lists, Going Rouge is, of course, languishing in well-deserved obscurity.

In a better world, the authors would be jailed, and just maybe sent to Guantanamo.

Governor Tim Pawlenty: "Sarah Palin is a political rock star"

Speaking with the notoriously liberal journalist, Howard Fineman of Newsweek (a frequent TV buddy of Chris Matthews and Keith Olberman), Governor Pawlenty hedged his bets on whether or not he would run for President. But, he was not shy about heaping praise on the heroic Ex Governor of Alaska!

"I think she is a political rock star," Pawlenty tells Fineman. "She got enormous attention and support from a big chunk of the country as the ice presidential candidate. And she has sustained that. In part, it's because she has tapped into a kind of base-level feeling about the role and scope of government. She speaks bluntly and plainly in ways people can understand."

Costco hid their tomatoes to save Sarah Palin from another volley

A Costco customer--Helen Rappaport--told The Salt Lake Tribune that she couldn't find tomatoes at a warehouse in Salt Lake City last week because, they were taken off shelves while Sarah Palin visited during her book tour.

"It turns out that Palin had been pelted with a tomato at an earlier stop on her book tour and the management at the Costco was determined it wouldn't happen here," the 'paper said. "The manager told an employee to go into the storage area and get Rappaport some tomatoes, which he gave her for free."

The Associated Press reported earlier in the week that a man was arrested for throwing a tomato at Palin at the Mall of America in Minnesota. He failed to hit the future President. As we mentioned earlier, the biggest crime here is that the law does not permit giving him the death penalty!

Sarah rips into Huck

Click The Pardoner to enlarge

Sarah Palin says former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee made a “horrible decision nine years ago in granting clemency to a man suspected of killing four police officers two weeks ago in Washington state.

“It was a bad decision obviously, but my heart goes out to Huckabee,” the former Alaska governor said of her potential 2012 GOP presidential rival during an interview Monday with conservative radio host Lars Larson. “I love him, and I feel bad for him to be in this position. But I feel even worse for the victims’ families in this situation.”

In 2000, Huckabee granted clemency to Maurice Clemmons, the suspected killer of four police officers. He had served 11 years in prison after being sentenced as a teenager to 108 years on burglary, theft and other felony charges. Clemmons was shot and killed by a police officer investigating a stolen car.

Huckabee defends his decision, arguing that while he clearly would not have granted the man clemency with knowledge of what would happen, if presented the same evidence today he’d probably take similar action.

As governor of Alaska, she said she had never been in the position of having to grant a prisoner clemency, adding that “most Alaskans know me well enough to know that I don’t have a whole lot of mercy for the bad guys.”
“I’m on the good guys’s side,” she said.

President Obama is inspired by, and borrows from, Sarah Palin's book "Going Rogue" in his Nobel Speech!

President Obama's Nobel speech is further evidence of the wisdom and vision of Sarah Palin. Contrary to what the liberal hand-wringers and armchair pundits tell you, Sarah Palin is at the core of the real change that is about to sweep across this great land. Speaking about The President's Nobel Prize speech, Sarah Palin said “I liked what he said." Ex-Governor Palin told USA Today "Of course, war is the last thing I believe any American wants to engage in, but it's necessary. We have to stop these terrorists."

In the USA Today interview, our hero said that Mr. Obama's speech echoed the thoughts she penned in her memoir, "Going Rogue." "I liked what he said. In fact, I thumbed through my book quickly this morning, saying, 'Wow, that really sounded familiar,'" Palin said. "I talked in my book, too, about the fallen nature of man and why war is necessary at times, and history's lessons when it comes to knowing when it is when we engage in warfare." She added, "A lot of Americans right now are getting to read my take on when war is necessary."

The former Alaska governor has tapped into a motherlode of conservative anger that continues to be a problem for the current members of Congress, both Democrat and Republican. Palin told USA Today that her political action committee SarahPAC will help candidates in next year's midterm elections who share "economically conservative principles" and her "commitment to win the war against terrorists" and who put ideology above party loyalty.

"She's got it!" The appeal of Sarah Palin to men

By Mona Goldwater, Editor
President Sarah Palin blog

National Review editor Rich Lowry wrote last year of his reaction to Palin's performance in the vice presidential debate.

"I'm sure I'm not the only male in America who, when Palin dropped her first wink, sat up a little straighter on the couch and said, 'Hey, I think she just winked at me.' And her smile. By the end, when she clearly knew she was doing well, it was so sparkling it was almost mesmerizing. It sent little starbursts through the screen and ricocheting around the living rooms of America. This is a quality that can't be learned; it's either something you have or you don't, and man, she's got it."

Ex-Governor Palin assaulted

[Ed: Thanks to Jeff Clinton for pointing out this story.]

Tell us what your inner Geiger counter says about this deranged wack-job

by Mona Goldwater,
President Sarah Palin editor

Jeremy Paul Olson, 33, hucked two tomatoes at Ex-Alaska Governor Sarah Palin earlier this week, at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn., reports Politico. (That's Olson in the photo above, taken by Mark Stehlik of the Bloomington Police Department.) Not only did he assault our next President, but he committed the assault at one of our most sacred sites--a monument to American

Ex-Governor Palin was signing copies of her [excellent] book, Going Rogue, on a stage in the mall when Olson threw tomatoes from a second-floor balcony. She, unfortunately, no longer has Secret Service protection. A year ago, he would not have walked into custody on his own two feet.

Luckily for Palin, Olson missed her by 10 feet, but two nearby police officers were splattered with tomato juice. For that, however, they did not gun down the twisted miscreant, although they probably should have...

According to the Associated Press, Olson was immediately arrested on a gross misdemeanor count of fourth-degree assault on a police officer and a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.

Viggo Mortensen on President Palin's presidential prospects

Viggo Mortensen was recently quoted in The Daily Beast on Ex-Governor Palin's political prospects. He picks the right candidate for the wrong reason. She is far smarter and more astute than old Aragorn could ever know. But when even a Hollywood bleeding heart liberal gives her credence, you know something is happening!

“Do not underestimate her ability,” Viggo Mortensen said of Sarah Palin. “She’s not going away.”
“I think it would be unwise to dismiss her because she is foolish and misinformed,” the ruggedly handsome movie hero told me. “People say there’s no way she will hold any significant office, in Congress, or as president. Don’t be so sure. I notice she’s starting to sound relatively eloquent in that superficial way she has: ‘We gotta cut taxes and we can’t keep penalizing small business’—that same old litany.

"She’s not saying anything significant but she’s stringing the words together and she’s not just saying, ‘Aw shucks, I just killed a moose in Alaska.’ She’s stringing the words together as well as George W. Bush did in the beginning.”

"The actor elaborated: 'George W. Bush got the knack of sounding a certain way. They realized they couldn’t make him sound like somebody who actually read books and cared about how he sounded—even though he had the benefits of the best possible education. It just wasn’t interesting to him to sound like he made sense and to speak English anywhere near well. But what they did, very cleverly, is say, OK, he’s just like us. He makes mistakes when he says stuff; he’s a regular guy. And I can see the same thing happening with Palin. So do not underestimate her ability. She’s not going away.' ”
