Sarah's unveils a new 'do on the Oprah show & tells how she is going to reinvigorate journalism

Sarah Palin flummoxed Oprah Winfrey today with her new hairdo, replete with corkscrew curls...you know, sort of looking like she just stepped out of The Waltons or Little House on the Prairie.

"Look at your hair!" Oprah blurted in the middle of her intro: "What did you do to your hair?" "Do you like it?," Sarah said. "I tried to look like you." "It's kind of cute, but I was just surprised to see you pop up there with the curls. Great. What's the weather like in Wasilla today?

Early opinion is that it's not her best look.

More importantly, the Ex-Governor told Oprah she is going try to to return journalism back to "what it is supposed to be."

"When I studied journalism, we learned all about the who, what, when, where and why of reporting. Just stating the facts. I'll engage in that, kind of ratcheting back down to the simplicity of what journalism should be about: just the basics and letting the people decide what their opinion will be."
